Mrs. Patrice Brand

Mrs. Patrice Brand began her new role as Principal at the Academy for Success during the 2020-21 school year.  Previously, she served as the Administrative Assistant Principal at the Academy for Success.

Mrs. Brand enjoys singing, traveling, and spending time with her family.  She enjoys supporting her husband, who is the head football coach at Irmo High School, and her son who also plays football, basketball, and baseball for Irmo.  Her daughter enjoys dance, track, basketball, and gymnastics. Whether it is Friday Night Lights, basketball, baseball, or track,  Mrs. Brand LOVES sports. 

Mr. James Paul

I am originally from the upstate in Seneca, SC. I attended Winthrop University and graduated with a degree in Special Education. In addition to my Bachelor’s degree, I completed my Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership (K-12) from Columbia College. I am married to my wife, Catherine. I look forward to a fantastic school year and continued collaboration with the AFS Community.
